Seth L. Marcus is a litigator concentrating on business and commercial issues. He has successfully represented clients in a variety of cases in both Federal and State Courts throughout the New York Metropolitan Area.

Mr. Marcus has litigated over 100 matters to conclusion, including several verdicts after trial. Litigated matters include complex contractual disputes, licensing matters, issues of fiduciary responsibility (including professional misconduct), defense of authors and publishers, bankruptcy matters, employment disputes, estate disputes and tax issues. Prior to co-founding Leffler Marcus & McCaffrey, Mr. Marcus was a sole practitioner in New York City for over five years. Before starting his own practice he was an associate for three years at a firm concentrating in tax law. Mr. Marcus brings over 12 years' experience to the firm.

Mr. Marcus received his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law in 1994. He graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree in 1991.

Mr. Marcus is admitted to the bars of New York State, United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and a lecturer for the American Women’s Economic Development Corporation.
